Massage Therapist in Jackson Arrested for Sexual Assault

Residents in Jackson, New Hampshire were shocked to learn Thursday that a massage therapist has been arrested for sexual assault. Michael “Chip” Diamond, 69, from Madison, was charged with six counts of sexual assault and six counts of simple assault, and has had his massage therapy license suspended.

According to the Jackson police department, two individuals came forward in November to report inappropriate touching during a massage session at the Christmas Farm Inn and Spa. The victims claimed to have been touched in intimate areas of their body, including their breasts and inner thighs. In fact, one of the victims was a licensed massage therapist herself.

As a result of the two-month investigation, warrants were issued for Diamond’s arrest, who was subsequently taken into custody without incident. His arraignment is scheduled for Feb. 13.

Class A misdemeanors are punishable by up to a year in jail and a $2,000 fine. Those convicted of sexual assault are also required to register as a sex offender for 10 years.
